Title
Political mathematician's, shaking the Broad Bottom'd hemispheres
Description
Gillray even included images of a weakened Britannia in the background of prints, as evident in ‘Political mathematician’s, shaking the Broad Bottom’d hemispheres.’ In this print, she is placed in the background (left) seated on a rock, leaning against a pedestal in great distress. The British lion sits near her, scowling at the breeches in the foreground who formerly belonged to Fox and are now forming two merging and transparent blogs with projecting legs.
