Cruikshank’s print shows Charles James Fox standing in profile, holding four muskets and wearing the bonnet-rouge with a tricolored cockade. From his protruding lips issues a blast inscribed: ‘Inflammatory Harrangues\To stir up the People to\Acts of Sedition\Mutiny Treason\Rebellion.’ This print is another example of other printmakers adopting Gillray’s icon of Fox and the bonnet-rouge.
